The Beatitudes
"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the land.
Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be satisfied.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the clean of heart,
for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

LUNAR NEW YEAR'S EVE MASS - PRAYING FOR PEACE IN THE LUNAR NEW YEAR
GOSPEL - (Mt 5:1-10)
Dear People of God,
"May the face of the Lord shine upon you, may the Lord have mercy on you and give you peace."
This is the will of God that He wants to teach all mankind: to look up to God, the Supreme Being, who bestows all of God's love and mercy on mankind. That is why the Son of God came to earth to become a human being, to be with mankind. He taught mankind the way to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, to be with God.
The words that He taught are eternal words, words that bring happiness to mankind. Especially through the Charter of the Kingdom of Heaven, He teaches that path, because He wants good things for humanity, He wants humans to be happy in the Kingdom of Heaven with Him.
In this Lunar New Year, God wants humankind to always know to live in love, forgive, obey, listen to God's words, and desire good things.
God will grant His peace and blessings to all those who come to call on the holy name of God.
He will always be with and accompany mankind until the end of time. This image is revealed by God through the Eight Beatitudes, which outline the ways that Jesus Christ taught humanity how to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
When those who live meekly, humbly, selflessly, self-effacingly, simply, with a small and pure heart, and a bright soul, will be loved by God, will be blessed, and granted peace. In particular, God will show us how beautiful and glorious the image of God is.
Therefore, He calls on everyone:
-To walk on the path of righteousness and holiness that God calls on us to every day.
-Give up our sinful passions, repent, and return to God.
God desires to bring peace and happiness to humanity; but with the condition that we must cooperate with Him by fulfilling the duties He has given, which is to live by the law of love and forgiveness. God Himself serves as the perfect example for us to follow on the path that Jesus walked.
Today, through the Sermon on the Mount, which outlines the Charter of the Kingdom of Heaven, God desires to call on all of us in this Lunar New Year to have a simple, pure, peaceful, and happy soul. In doing so, God can come, accompany, and guide us in all places and at all times throughout our earthly lives.
He does not want His children to live in suffering, hatred, jealousy, selfishness, or division, as these things do not come from God.
God wants His children in this Lunar New Year to convert our lives, to reconcile with God through the Beatitudes that God has taught people today, which are: Always have a poor, gentle, pure, innocent soul, and especially desire to become a righteous and holy person.
The righteousness and holiness that God wants to refer to and calling is: always knowing to listen to and obey the teachings of God's will in life. Those things will certainly bring happiness and life in the Kingdom of Heaven to mankind.
When we are determined to live and do what God teaches today, the Kingdom of Heaven will remain within us. And when God calls our souls out of this world, we will be truly happy!
Because He will bring our souls to attain the presence of God.
God also teaches everyone in our daily lives about prayer: look up to God; ask Him to have mercy, bestow His blessings, and grant peace to all humanity in this Lunar New Year.
God wants humanity to look into our own inner life: we need to unite more closely with God so that He can give us grace and increase our strength to live and do what God teaches; that is to live by the law of love, the law that God puts first, the law of loving God above all things and loving others as oneself.
God also teaches everyone that if we want to have a happy and peaceful life both here on earth and in the Kingdom of Heaven, each person must begin by changing ourselves first. We must give up sinful passions, and give up hatred, jealousy, selfishness, and division. Then surely God will grant true happiness to that person right here on earth.
In the first moments of this Lunar New Year, God wants all mankind to:
-Look up to God, sincerely repent, and make peace with Him and with our brothers and sisters so that God may bless and give peace to each person.
-Pray to God, may He look upon our sinful flock with a smile, forgive all our sins, and may He have mercy on those who are living in error, in the quagmire of sin knowing to return to God and to make peace with Him and with our brothers and sisters at this very moment for this is what pleases God the most.
God is always pleased and happy when His children know how to create peace and know how to bring peace and happiness to our brothers and sisters, by letting go of our egos and giving up hatred and jealousy. God does not want any soul to fall into the hands of Satan.
Therefore, on this moment of Lunar New Year's Eve, God calls upon humankind to run to God and Blessed Mother Mary, to be blessed by God and Mother Mary and to bestow peace and happiness upon all humanity, as well as to be given more strength so that we can acknowledge our sins and weaknesses, to lower ourselves and humble ourselves before God to ask Him to forgive our sins and ask Him to grant us grace.
Because the greatest grace in this era given to humanity is the grace to acknowledge sins, the grace of courage to give up sins when we earnestly ask God, He will answer our prayer and fill us with His sanctifying Spirit.
Those are all the things that God wants to teach all mankind in this Lunar New Year. We should listen to and be determined to put it into practice, then He will grant us the happiness of the Kingdom of Heaven in this life and the next.
Thanks be to God. Amen.
