“How can Satan drive out Satan? If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.” (Mk 3:23-24)

FIRST READING - Heb 9:15, 24-28

A reading from the Letter of St. Paul to the Hebrews

Christ is mediator of a new covenant:

since a death has taken place

for deliverance from transgressions under the first covenant,

those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance.

For Christ did not enter into a sanctuary made by hands,

a copy of the true one, but heaven itself,

that he might now appear before God on our behalf.

Not that he might offer himself repeatedly,

as the high priest enters each year into the sanctuary

with blood that is not his own;

if that were so, he would have had to suffer repeatedly

from the foundation of the world.

But now once for all he has appeared at the end of the ages

to take away sin by his sacrifice.

Just as it is appointed that human beings die once,

and after this the judgment, so also Christ,

offered once to take away the sins of many,

will appear a second time, not to take away sin

but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await him.

GOSPEL OF THE DAY - Mk 3:22-30

From the Gospel according to Mark

The scribes who had come from Jerusalem said of Jesus,

"He is possessed by Beelzebul," and

"By the prince of demons he drives out demons."

Summoning them, he began to speak to them in parables,

"How can Satan drive out Satan?

If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.

And if a house is divided against itself,

that house will not be able to stand.

And if Satan has risen up against himself and is divided,

he cannot stand;

that is the end of him.

But no one can enter a strong man's house to plunder his property

unless he first ties up the strong man.

Then he can plunder his house.

Amen, I say to you, all sins and all blasphemies

that people utter will be forgiven them.

But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit

will never have forgiveness,

but is guilty of an everlasting sin."

For they had said, "He has an unclean spirit."

MONDAY OF THE THIRD WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME - Gospel (Mk 3:22-30)

THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONE

Dear People of God,

Today's Word of God reminds humanity that no one should be arrogant and offend God, the holy name of God, the Almighty. Because this is a very serious sin that cannot be forgiven. Just like Satan in the past offended God. They were arrogant, demanding to be equal to the all-powerful God, demanding to have the same power and authority as God the Father.

God the Father reminds humankind not to be arrogant like Satan, and not to oppose and offend the Holy name of God the Father. Because the Word of God the Father has said: 'But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never have forgiveness.'

The Holy Spirit is love, the most beautiful and supreme being, the most exalted of all creatures, without whom humanity cannot exist. This is what God the Father requires mankind to be alert to: do not listen to Satan's instigation to oppose God, oppose His Holy name, and offend the Holy Body of Jesus Christ.

Furthermore, all the graces and gifts that God bestows upon mankind come from the spiritual influence of the Holy Spirit. Humanity must be alert to Satan's temptations because they will deceive mankind so that mankind cannot distinguish between the will of God the Father, the spiritual power of the Holy Spirit, the evil that comes from Satan, and the false spirit that originates from Satan.

God the Father wants to remind the children of mankind that all must respect and worship God the Father. Even Satan must prostrate and worship before the presence of God the Father. All mankind must worship God. Do not offend the Holy name of God anymore! Do not offend the Holy Spirit, do not offend the Holy Body and Blood of Jesus Christ anymore.

God the Father instructs humanity to be vigilant and not offend all the prophets and apostles whom He has called into the world today to spread the mercy and salvation of God the Father to all humanity.

Because arrogant people living in sin will not be able to distinguish between the spirit coming from Satan and the spirit coming from the Holy Spirit, so never rush to offend the spirit that works in the people chosen by God in His plan. They are powerful instruments in the work of salvation and mercy of God the Father. Look at the fruit and you will know the tree! Be alert!

That is the word that God wants to warn humanity today: do not be deceived by Satan's temptations that this is the spirit coming from Satan, that these are evils, do not believe them. Choose the wisdom that comes from God and carefully study the work that God the Father is placing at The House of God the Father in Bao Loc.

Do not offend the angels and prophets who God has chosen to call to this work, nor any place where God the Father uses the Holy Spirit to work for God the Father, to collaborate in His work. Examine yourself and repent, return to a proper person who lives meekly and humbly. Prostrate and fear God the Father.

Do everything according to the will of God the Father, so as not to be lured by Satan, so as not to be punished by God the Father to die forever, to be separated from the mercy and love of God that covers the entire universe.

Thanks be to God. Amen.
