TUESDAY OF THE THIRD WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME - GOSPEL (Mark 3:31-35) - THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONE

“For whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.” (Mk 3:35)
FIRST READING - Heb 10:1-10
A reading from the Letter of St. Paul to the Hebrews
Brothers and sisters:
Since the law has only a shadow of the good things to come,
and not the very image of them, it can never make perfect
those who come to worship by the same sacrifices
that they offer continually each year.
Otherwise, would not the sacrifices have ceased to be offered,
since the worshipers, once cleansed, would no longer
have had any consciousness of sins?
But in those sacrifices there is only a yearly remembrance of sins,
for it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats
take away sins.
For this reason, when he came into the world, he said:
Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,
but a body you prepared for me;
in burnt offerings and sin offerings you took no delight.
Then I said, As is written of me in the scroll,
Behold, I come to do your will, O God.
First he says, Sacrifices and offerings,
burnt offerings and sin offerings,
you neither desired nor delighted in.
These are offered according to the law.
Then he says, Behold, I come to do your will.
He takes away the first to establish the second.
By this "will," we have been consecrated
through the offering of the Body of Jesus Christ once for all.
GOSPEL OF THE DAY - Mk 3:31-35
From the Gospel according to Mark
The mother of Jesus and his brothers arrived at the house.
Standing outside, they sent word to Jesus and called him.
A crowd seated around him told him,
“Your mother and your brothers and your sisters
are outside asking for you.”
But he said to them in reply,
“Who are my mother and my brothers?”
And looking around at those seated in the circle he said,
“Here are my mother and my brothers.
For whoever does the will of God
is my brother and sister and mother.”

TUESDAY OF THE THIRD WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME - GOSPEL (Mark 3:31-35)
THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONE
Dear People of God
In the Word of God today, God the Father wants all mankind to know that if we want to become children of God, brothers, and sisters in His family, we must learn how to put His Word into practice like Jesus Christ Himself, the Only Begotten Son, who came to earth to become human.
Just as He obeyed God the Father's will completely, today, under the influence of the power of the Holy Spirit, God the Father also wants all of His children to always follow the spirit of the Holy Spirit to put into practice the Word of God the Father.
Everything that comes from God is always good, peaceful, happy, and joyful, knowing to fear God and not going against His commands.
Like the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph, they are the ones who obey the will of God the Father in all places and at all times. They put His words into practice. As a result, they have pleased God the Father.
God the Father wants everyone to listen to the teachings of Jesus Christ: Whoever wants to be My brothers, sisters, and mother, must do the will of God the Father. His will is the Word that brings eternal life, which is the Word of Jesus Christ, the only Begotten Son of God the Father.
That is the revelations that God the Father gave to the priests and prophets to convey to mankind.
God The Father calls on all humanity to repent, abandon the path of sin, and return to Him.
In the face of extreme suffering, He calls on all humanity to serve and worship Him alone, the only One. And to fear Him and put into practice only the path that God teaches.
God The Father also reminds all His children to give up the foreign gods, all kinds of evil gods made by humans. Because these gods are just inanimate objects, these gods can not bring eternal life to mankind.
God the Father wants mankind to be awake and worship Him alone as the only One who brings life, bringing eternal happiness to mankind.
Thanks be to God. Amen.
