FIRST READING - Rm 1:16-25
"Although they knew God, they did not accord him glory as God."
A reading from the Letter of St. Paul to the Romans
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel. It is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: for Jew first, and then Greek. 17 For in it is revealed the righteousness of God from faith to faith;[a] as it is written, “The one who is righteous by faith will live.”
18 [b]The wrath[c] of God[d] is indeed being revealed from heaven against every impiety and wickedness of those who suppress the truth by their wickedness. 19 For what can be known about God is evident to them, because God made it evident to them. 20 Ever since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes of eternal power and divinity have been able to be understood and perceived in what he has made. As a result, they have no excuse; 21 for although they knew God they did not accord him glory as God or give him thanks. Instead, they became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless minds were darkened. 22 While claiming to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for the likeness of an image of mortal man or of birds or of four-legged animals or of snakes.
24 Therefore, God handed them over to impurity through the lusts of their hearts[e] for the mutual degradation of their bodies. 25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and revered and worshiped the creature rather than the creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
GOSPEL OF THE DAY - Lk 11:37-41
"Give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you."
✠From the Gospel according to Luke
37 After he had spoken, a Pharisee invited him to dine at his home. He entered and reclined at table to eat. 38 The Pharisee was amazed to see that he did not observe the prescribed washing before the meal. 39 The Lord said to him, “Oh you Pharisees! Although you cleanse the outside of the cup and the dish, inside you are filled with plunder and evil. 40 You fools! Did not the maker of the outside also make the inside? 41 But as to what is within, give alms, and behold, everything will be clean for you.

28TH TUESDAY IN ORDINARY TIME - Gospel (Luke 11:37-41)
THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONE
Dear people of God,
The Word of God in today’s Gospel, God calls everyone to live truly from within our hearts; do not live deceitfully or hypocritically, for hypocrisy does not come from God.
God is the way, the truth, and the life. He always desires people in today's world to live true to themselves, from the inside out. For He is the Creator of humanity, He knows every person's thoughts, words, actions, and deeds.
Therefore, He calls everyone not to live hypocritically before Him, for He will pass judgment according to that person's superficial or hypocritical way of life in the afterlife. Because God's love and mercy are always for humanity, when He sees that people today are living hypocritically, being two-faced and double-hearted with each other so often, He does not want humanity to fall into Satan's traps. He calls on humanity not to live like the hypocritical Pharisees: outwardly appearing beautiful, clean, and elegant, but inwardly full of filth, impurity, and sin.
Through the image of the hypocritical Pharisees who criticized Jesus when they saw Him not observing the law of washing hands before meals,
God desires to call everyone to:
Live truthfully from within. Keep our souls always pure and clear before God.
Do not live in defilement, impurity, or sin any longer; for no one can deceive God, no one can hide from God their superficial actions. God sees through everything from within each person's heart.
Therefore, once again, today's Word of God warns everyone to:
Live sincerely with ourselves, live sincerely with God, and live sincerely with our brothers and sisters.
Do not allow Satan to exploit and tempt us with a life of outward hypocrisy, so that they may seize the opportunity to steal our souls.
God always loves every human soul, so He wants to warn and call everyone to listen to and practice God's words, cleanse our souls to live pleasing to God, and please Him in every moment of life in today's world.
Thanks be to God. Amen.
