"The young woman, pregnant and about to bear a son.
A reading from the Book of Isaiah
10 Again the Lord spoke to Ahaz: 11 Ask for a sign from the Lord, your God; let it be deep as Sheol, or high as the sky![a] 12 But Ahaz answered, “I will not ask! I will not tempt the Lord!”[b] 13 Then he said: Listen, house of David! Is it not enough that you weary human beings? Must you also weary my God? 14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign;[c] the young woman, pregnant and about to bear a son, shall name him Emmanuel.
GOSPEL OF THE DAY - Lk 1:26-38
"Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son."
✠From the Gospel according to Luke
26 In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And coming to her, he said, “Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you.” 29 But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. 30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High,[a] and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, 33 and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” 34 But Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?”[b] 35 And the angel said to her in reply, “The holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. 36 And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived[c] a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; 37 for nothing will be impossible for God.” 38 Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.

3rd SATURDAY OF ADVENT - Gospel (Luke 1:26-38)
THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONE
Dear People of God,
Today's Word of God speaks about the angel Gabriel bringing and announcing the Word of God the Father to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
Mother Mary is the most blessed among all women; she was chosen by God the Father from ancient times. In God's plan of salvation, the presence of the Virgin Mary is indispensable. She is a woman full of grace, filled with the strength and power of the Holy Spirit.
She was chosen by God from ancient times and when the fullness of time had come, the promise of God to save humanity was fulfilled: the Blessed Virgin Mary herself conceived the Son of God in her womb through the power of the Holy Spirit. She was a woman who had no husband, yet she became pregnant.
The Blessed Virgin Mary herself questioned this: “How can I have a child, since I do not know a man?” The Angel of Annunciation explained to her that her conception was not the work of man, but the power and might of the Holy Spirit. And God's promise to save humanity was fulfilled after the Angel announced the news. When Mother Mary uttered the words: “Let it be done,” the Son of God entered the womb of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Blessed Virgin Mary is the woman chosen by God, and she is the one who possesses absolute faith in the Most High. She is the model of absolute trust in God and the model of absolute obedience to God the Father’s holy will. Because of her obedience, she said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word.”
From then on, the Blessed Mother absolutely trusted in the Almighty God, believing that there is nothing that God the Father cannot do.
Indeed, it is so! Her absolute trust in God the Father was fulfilled.
When God allowed her cousin Elizabeth to become pregnant in her old age, the Blessed Mother also trusted in God's power without the slightest doubt.
With the Blessed Virgin Mary’s absolute trust in the Most High, God calls upon everyone in the world today:
To follow the example of the Blessed Mary's faith in God, and live according to her faith.
Once you believe in God the Father, live simply, entrust yourself fully, and act exactly according to what God has commanded, so that you will not be tempted by Satan, nor have your soul snatched away from the loving embrace of God the Father.
Furthermore, God the Father also calls upon humanity in today’s world:
To have faith, to live humbly, and to be absolutely obedient to God the Father.
For only through modesty and humility, listening to and practicing the word of God can humanity receive the grace, power, and strength that God will bestow upon our very souls and bodies. Thanks to that, Satan will be forced to stay away and be defeated by the humility, obedience, and absolute trust in God the Father’s love and power.
God the Father calls upon humanity today to look up at the example of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and live and act according to what the Blessed Mother has taught humanity in today’s world, especially through the work of the Holy Spirit in this new era.
The Blessed Mother is the commander-in-chief of the Army of Light, the first and only woman who crushed the head of Satan.
Today, those who live and practice according to God's teaching with obedience, loyalty, and faithfulness like the Blessed Mother, and live under the guidance of God’s Present Word, will also be given authority over Satan, able to cast them out of the sick and sinners, bringing many souls back to God the Father.
Thanks be to God. Amen.
