FIRST READING - Dan 2:31-45
"In the lifetime of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed, it shall break in pieces all these kingdoms."
A reading from the Book of Daniel
31 “In your vision, O king, you saw a statue, very large and exceedingly bright, terrifying in appearance as it stood before you. 32 Its head was pure gold, its chest and arms were silver, its belly and thighs bronze, 33 its legs iron, its feet partly iron and partly clay.[a] 34 While you watched, a stone was hewn from a mountain without a hand being put to it, and it struck its iron and clay feet, breaking them in pieces. 35 The iron, clay, bronze, silver, and gold all crumbled at once, fine as the chaff on the threshing floor in summer, and the wind blew them away without leaving a trace. But the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain and filled the whole earth.
36 [b]“This was the dream; the interpretation we shall also give in the king’s presence. 37 You, O king, are the king of kings; to you the God of heaven has given dominion and strength, power and glory; 38 human beings, wild beasts, and birds of the air, wherever they may dwell, he has handed over to you, making you ruler over them all; you are the head of gold. 39 Another kingdom shall take your place, inferior to yours, then a third kingdom, of bronze, which shall rule over the whole earth. 40 There shall be a fourth kingdom, strong as iron; it shall break in pieces and subdue all these others, just as iron breaks in pieces and crushes everything else. 41 The feet and toes you saw, partly of clay and partly of iron, mean that it shall be a divided kingdom, but yet have some of the hardness of iron. As you saw the iron mixed with clay tile, 42 and the toes partly iron and partly clay, the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. 43 The iron mixed with clay means that they shall seal their alliances by intermarriage, but they shall not stay united, any more than iron mixes with clay. 44 In the lifetime of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never be destroyed or delivered up to another people; rather, it shall break in pieces all these kingdoms and put an end to them, and it shall stand forever. 45 That is the meaning of the stone you saw hewn from the mountain without a hand being put to it, which broke in pieces the iron, bronze, clay, silver, and gold. The great God has revealed to the king what shall be in the future; this is exactly what you dreamed, and its meaning is sure.”
GOSPEL OF THE DAY - Lk 21: 5-11
"There will not be left a stone upon another stone."
✠From the Gospel according to Luke
5 [a]While some people were speaking about how the temple was adorned with costly stones and votive offerings, he said, 6 “All that you see here—the days will come when there will not be left a stone upon another stone that will not be thrown down.”
7 Then they asked him, “Teacher, when will this happen? And what sign will there be when all these things are about to happen?” 8 He answered, “See that you not be deceived, for many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am he,’ and ‘The time has come.’[b] Do not follow them! 9 When you hear of wars and insurrections, do not be terrified; for such things must happen first, but it will not immediately be the end.” 10 Then he said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 There will be powerful earthquakes, famines, and plagues from place to place; and awesome sights and mighty signs will come from the sky.

34TH TUESDAY IN ORDINARY TIME - Gospel (Luke 21:5-11)
THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONE
Dear People of God,
In today's Word of God, God the Father calls all of His children to be vigilant against the temptations of Satan.
For they will lead people into the darkness of sin to seek what is illusory, what is the desire for the pleasures of the supernatural world.
God the Father wants people to be alert to the temptations and schemes of Satan, because they are cunning and very successful at tempting people.
Therefore, to resist the instigation of Satan, God the Father teaches people to be alert by sacrificing, fasting, praying, loving, forgiving, giving up all worldly passions, giving up all power in this world to live a life of poverty, modesty and humility, meekness and simplicity, to worship only God the Father, the only One, and to pray fervently and constantly to God the Father and to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
He will protect the soul and body of man from the temptations of Satan.
Those who do not practice what God the Father teaches will easily fall into Satan's trap.
That is why God the Father teaches humanity every minute to cling to His love and mercy. Please protect me from Satan's temptations; do not let me fall into the temptations they set for me.
God the Father desires all of His children to follow the path of justice and charity, love and forgiveness, to live uprightly and righteously as God the Father calls them to, then they will overcome the temptations of Satan, and to believe that in today's world, Satan is raging on the souls and bodies of many sinners, and that they are bewitching people to take them away from the loving arms and the mercy of God the Father.
God the Father wants all the members of the Army of Light to warn all humanity about the schemes and temptations of Satan.
They are cunning snakes, and their temptations are powerful.
When people are not awake and do not practice the way that God the Father teaches.
If they do not love, do not forgive, do not worship God the Father alone as the only One, do not sacrifice, do not give up passions, do not pray fervently and continuously to God the Father and the Virgin Mary, they will easily fall into Satan's temptations.
Thanks be to God. Amen
