FIRST READING - Rom 5:12, 15b, 17-19, 20b-21
"For if, by the transgression of one person, death came to reign through that one, how much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of justification come to reign."
A reading from the letter of St. Paul to the Romans
12 [a]Therefore, just as through one person sin entered the world, and through sin, death, and thus death came to all, inasmuch as all sinned[b] 15 But the gift is not like the transgression. For if by that one person’s transgression the many died, how much more did the grace of God and the gracious gift of the one person Jesus Christ overflow for the many. 17 For if, by the transgression of one person, death came to reign through that one, how much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of justification come to reign in life through the one person Jesus Christ. 18 In conclusion, just as through one transgression condemnation came upon all, so through one righteous act acquittal and life came to all. 19 For just as through the disobedience of one person the many were made sinners, so through the obedience of one the many will be made righteous. 20 The law entered in[a] so that transgression might increase but, where sin increased, grace overflowed all the more, 21 so that, as sin reigned in death, grace also might reign through justification for eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
GOSPEL OF THE DAY - Lk 12:35-38
Thật là phúc cho những đầy tớ khi chủ về mà thấy đang tỉnh thức.
✠From the Gospel according to Luke
35 “Gird your loins and light your lamps 36 and be like servants who await their master’s return from a wedding, ready to open immediately when he comes and knocks. 37 Blessed are those servants whom the master finds vigilant on his arrival. Amen, I say to you, he will gird himself, have them recline at table, and proceed to wait on them. 38 And should he come in the second or third watch and find them prepared in this way, blessed are those servants.

29TH TUESDAY IN ORDINARY TIME - GOSPEL (LUKE 12:35-38)
THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONE
Dear people of God,
In today’s Word of God, God the Father warns His children that when living on this earth, they must be vigilant against the temptations of Satan.
For Satan constantly lures humanity to fall into habits of indulgence and pleasure-seeking, to fall into the passions of sin, and to forget the essential task of caring for the salvation of the soul, which is to live in such a way as to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Through the story of the servant waiting for his master to return from the wedding, God the Father wants to remind His children always to be vigilant and ready to await the day God takes our souls and bodies from this world.
God the Father wants His children to repent of their sins so as to walk in the light and grace of God the Father, that we may be pleasing to Him. God the Father wants everyone to be vigilant. We must always live in love and forgiveness, constantly bearing hearts filled with charity and selflessness toward our brothers and sisters.
He calls on everyone to love God above all things and to love others as themselves. Be vigilant and pray to be intimately united with God the Father, so as not to fall into Satan's temptations, but to always walk in God's light and love.
Today's Word of God reminds everyone to be vigilant and put into practice what He teaches so that Satan will be defeated. Otherwise, Satan will continue to wreak havoc upon souls and bodies, leading people into sinful passions, worldly pleasures and indulgences, which are not pleasing to God the Father.
Therefore, God the Father calls everyone, especially those whom God the Father has called to join the Army of Light, as well as all those whose hearts God the Father has touched, to be vigilant and live faithfully to God the Father.
Being faithful to God the Father means doing exactly what He commands, so that Satan will no longer have the opportunity to steal our souls. And when the appointed time comes, when God the Father sees that the time of purification on this earth is complete, He will come to bring our souls and bodies into the happiness of the Kingdom of Heaven.
We must listen to and put into practice the Word that God the Father has given; that is the wisdom to which God the Father calls His children.
Thanks be to God. Amen.
