FIRST READING - Rom 4:1-8
"Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."
A reading from the Letter of St. Paul to the Romans
1 What then can we say that Abraham found, our ancestor according to the flesh? 2 [b]Indeed, if Abraham was justified on the basis of his works, he has reason to boast; but this was not so in the sight of God. 3 For what does the scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.”[c] 4 A worker’s wage is credited not as a gift, but as something due. 5 But when one does not work, yet believes in the one who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness. 6 So also David declares the blessedness of the person to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
7 “Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord does not record.”
GOSPEL OF THE DAY - Lk 12:1-7
"Even the hairs of your head have all been counted."
✠From the Gospel according to Luke
1 Meanwhile, so many people were crowding together that they were trampling one another underfoot. He began to speak, first to his disciples, “Beware of the leaven—that is, the hypocrisy—of the Pharisees.
[b] 2 “There is nothing concealed that will not be revealed, nor secret that will not be known. 3 Therefore whatever you have said in the darkness will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed on the housetops. 4 I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body but after that can do no more. 5 I shall show you whom to fear. Be afraid of the one who after killing has the power to cast into Gehenna;[c] yes, I tell you, be afraid of that one. 6 Are not five sparrows sold for two small coins?[d] Yet not one of them has escaped the notice of God. 7 Even the hairs of your head have all been counted. Do not be afraid. You are worth more than many sparrows.

28TH FRIDAY IN ORDINARY TIME - Gospel (Luke 12:1-7)
THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONE
Dear people of God,
Today's Word of God, God the Father, admonishes all His children to live with love and filial devotion towards God the Father and all our brothers and sisters.
This is the invitation that God the Father bestows upon all humanity to live sincerely with one another in the love of God the Father.
God the Father lets humanity know that He sees through all things, for He is the Creator of humanity, and nothing can hide from His eyes. Therefore, we must learn to fear God the Father and avoid occasions of sin; do not walk in darkness any longer.
Do not deceive God the Father nor our brothers and sisters any longer.
Have the courage to step into the light, for God the Father is rich in mercy and generous in forgiveness.
He is infinitely just, righteous, fair, and upright. No one can bring about justice as God the Father does.
No one can bestow such abundant love upon humanity as God the Father.
Therefore, be wise and abandon the path of sinful darkness and return to Him. Be honest with God the Father, and with our brothers and sisters.
For only what is light, what is truth, and what is holy comes from God the Father.
Today, God the Father desires all His children to:
Receive His light, love, and grace, and do not welcome darkness, sin, deceit, or darkness into our hearts or souls; for these things will lead humanity to eternal death.
Run to God the Father, and sincerely examine ourselves, repent of our sins, so that we may be forgiven by Him, so that He may hear our prayers and accept all our contrition, repentance, and atonement for our sins right here in this earthly world.
Have reverence for God the Father and avoid occasions of sin; do not give Satan the opportunities to take hold of our hearts any longer.
For Satan always brings suffering and eternal death. Cast them out of our hearts, cast them out of our souls, and do not give them entry any longer.
Open the door of our hearts, open the door of our souls to receive the very light and Spirit of God to dwell within us, so that we may put on a new person, which is Jesus Christ.
Cast out all deceit from our hearts, do not clothe ourselves in darkness any longer.
For God is a benevolent Father, He always protects, shelters, and guards our souls and bodies. Humanity has been given the special grace of being created in the image of God the Father, so trust absolutely in His promise that He will never abandon humankind.
He will providentially care for all things for humanity. Therefore, humanity should no longer betray God the Father and live in deceit.
Trust and have faith in the love of God the Father and return to reconcile with Him, resolve to change our life, living as He instructs: to love God the Father above all things and live sincerely with God the Father and our brothers and sisters.
If we live in this way, we will be loved by Him and granted eternal life. Otherwise, Satan will lead us to eternal death.
Thanks be to God. Amen.
