WEDNESDAY OF THE SECOND WEEK OF ADVENT (Mt 11:28-30) - THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONE

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened and I will give you rest.” (Mt 11:28)

FIRST READING - Is 40:25-31

"He gives power to the faint, abundant strength to the weak."

A reading from the Book of Isaiah

²⁵ To whom can you liken me as an equal?    

says the Holy One.

²⁶ Lift up your eyes on high    

and see who created^[a] these:

He leads out their army and numbers them,    

calling them all by name.

By his great might and the strength of his power    

not one of them is missing!

²⁷ Why, O Jacob, do you say,^[b]    

and declare, O Israel,

“My way is hidden from the Lord,    

and my right is disregarded by my God”?

²⁸ Do you not know?    

Have you not heard?

The Lord is God from of old,    

creator of the ends of the earth.

He does not faint or grow weary,    

and his knowledge is beyond scrutiny.

²⁹ He gives power to the faint,    

abundant strength to the weak.

³⁰ Though young men faint and grow weary,    

and youths stagger and fall,

³¹ They that hope in the Lord will renew their strength,    

they will soar on eagles’ wings;

They will run and not grow weary,    

walk and not grow faint.

THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONE

Dear people of God,

Today's Word of God, God calls all humanity to run to God's love, to run to His mercy, for only in the immense mercy of God can humanity find refuge and be at peace in both soul and body.

God makes known to humanity that only in God is there the sole refuge that brings happiness and peace; humanity remaining in the world is still limited.

Therefore, today's Word of God calls upon all humanity to take up the yoke of God; God’s yoke is always gentle and light; the yoke of God always brings peace.

God the Father calls all humanity to turn toward God, learn from His meekness and humility.

Only in God is happiness, only in God can humanity obtain eternal life.

Therefore, today's Word of God calls on all of humanity, all those who are facing suffering, difficulties, and trials in this world:

• Be courageous and run toward the God of infinite and boundless love; He always opens His arms to welcome all of humanity, to receive all souls that are suffering, souls that are grieving, worrying, and afraid.

• Have absolute faith in God the Father; He is the truth, He is always present within every suffering soul.

• Return to your own heart, return to your conscience. God the Father will instructs you on what to do and what not to do, so that from then on humanity will always live happily and peacefully in God the Father’s love.
