WEDNESDAY OF THE FIRST WEEK OF LENT - Gospel (Luke 11:29-32) - THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONE

“Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites, so will the Son of Man be to this generation.” (Lk 11:30)

FIRST READING - 3:1-10

A reading from the Book of Jonah

The word of the LORD came to Jonah a second time:

""Set out for the great city of Nineveh,

and announce to it the message that I will tell you.""

So Jonah made ready and went to Nineveh,

according to the LORD's bidding.

Now Nineveh was an enormously large city;

it took three days to go through it.

Jonah began his journey through the city,

and had gone but a single day's walk announcing,

""Forty days more and Nineveh shall be destroyed,""

when the people of Nineveh believed God;

they proclaimed a fast

and all of them, great and small, put on sackcloth.

When the news reached the king of Nineveh,

he rose from his throne, laid aside his robe,

covered himself with sackcloth, and sat in the ashes.

Then he had this proclaimed throughout Nineveh,

by decree of the king and his nobles:

""Neither man nor beast, neither cattle nor sheep,

shall taste anything;

they shall not eat, nor shall they drink water.

Man and beast shall be covered with sackcloth and call loudly to God;

every man shall turn from his evil way

and from the violence he has in hand.

Who knows, God may relent and forgive, and withhold his blazing wrath,

so that we shall not perish.""

When God saw by their actions how they turned from their evil way,

he repented of the evil that he had threatened to do to them;

he did not carry it out.

GOSPEL OF THE DAY - Lk 11:29-32

From the Gospel according to Luke

While still more people gathered in the crowd, Jesus said to them,

"This generation is an evil generation;

it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it,

except the sign of Jonah.

Just as Jonah became a sign to the Ninevites,

so will the Son of Man be to this generation.

At the judgment

the queen of the south will rise with the men of this generation

and she will condemn them,

because she came from the ends of the earth

to hear the wisdom of Solomon,

and there is something greater than Solomon here.

At the judgment the men of Nineveh will arise with this generation

and condemn it,

because at the preaching of Jonah they repented,

and there is something greater than Jonah here."

THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONE

 Dear people of God,

Today's Word of God lets everyone know that since Adam and Eve committed the sin of disobeying God, sin has spread throughout the earth. Satan is always lurking, surrounding, and tempting people to sin. They cause death, war, incest, and all kinds of suffering.

But in each stage and each era, God always loves and watches over people in all places and at all times. He sent down to humanity the patriarchs, the prophets, and the messengers to speak the Word of God to teach humanity, to call on everyone to repent, return to God, and live in love and forgiveness. Some of these patriarchs are: our forefathers Abraham, Joseph, Noah, King David, King Solomon, and many other prophets, such as the prophet Jonah whom the Word of God speaks of today.

But even then, people still stubbornly sinned. They rebelled against God by worshiping foreign gods, gods who could neither laugh nor speak.

God fulfilled His promise to send the Savior, the Son of God, to come to earth to become human, to die, and after three days to rise again to save mankind from sin, to save mankind from the captivity of Satan.

It was the sin of humanity that killed the Son of God, which was Satan's plan.

But the death and resurrection of the Son of God was God's victory over Satan.

In continuation, God allowed the apostles, the Church Fathers, and the saints to continue preaching the Word of God, but they were all killed and eliminated.

Up until today, God has chosen to call Nguyễn Chu Thiên Thương, who was sent into this world to be a human being according to God's will and was kept and protected by God the Father in His loving arms.

This person was purified by God until the time came, was given an archangel Thien Thuong, who is God’s Archangel of Light, who was also used by God the Father to work in His plan in the era of the Holy Spirit's activity - she came to become one with the human being of Nguyễn Chu Thiên Thương to work in God the Father’s plan, to write the Word of God the Father for humanity, which is the Real Word of God teaching people to repent and return to God the Father.

God lets everyone know that this era is the era of the activity of the Holy Spirit, working to help humanity fully live out the Word of God.

When someone knows how to turn to God and those whom God uses, that is wisdom.

God wants humanity to know that today, Satan is increasingly rampant in the world tempting and luring people away from God to steal souls into their hands.

Therefore, God loves and wants to save mankind from Satan's grip, and so He uses Angel Thiên Thương to write the Words of God the Father to teach humanity and help people to live according to what God the Father teaches to fight against Satan, to repel the temptations and enticements of Satan. This way, humanity will experience less war, hatred, death, and suffering caused by human sin.

And Satan themselves also have the opportunity to repent so that they can be mercifully saved by God, and be restored to the original nature that God created.

Today, God teaches and calls everyone to awaken and return to God; to awaken and return to unite with those whom God uses in this era to be with God and have eternal life in the future.

As in the past, the Queen of the South came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of King Solomon, the chosen one of God; today, whoever is wise should come to God, come to Angel Thiên Thuong, a human and an angel used by God as an instrument to write the words of God the Father, to help people convert their lives, return and live according to the Word of God taught in the Bible to have eternal life. That is the ultimate goal that people need to achieve.
