- 4 min read
“Whatever place does not welcome you or listen tom you, leave there and shake the dust off your feet in testimony against them.” (Mk 6:11)
FIRST READING - 12:18-19, 21-24
A reading from the Letter of St. Paul to the Hebrews
Brothers and sisters:
You have not approached that which could be touched
and a blazing fire and gloomy darkness
and storm and a trumpet blast
and a voice speaking words such that those who heard
begged that no message be further addressed to them.
Indeed, so fearful was the spectacle that Moses said,
“I am terrified and trembling.”
No, you have approached Mount Zion
and the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem,
and countless angels in festal gathering,
and the assembly of the firstborn enrolled in heaven,
and God the judge of all,
and the spirits of the just made perfect,
and Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant,
and the sprinkled Blood that speaks more eloquently
than that of Abel.
GOSPEL OF THE DAY - Mark 6:7-13
From the Gospel according to Mark
Jesus summoned the Twelve and began to send them out two by two
and gave them authority over unclean spirits.
He instructed them to take nothing for the journey but a walking stick
–no food, no sack, no money in their belts.
They were, however, to wear sandals but not a second tunic.
He said to them,
“Wherever you enter a house, stay there until you leave from there.
Whatever place does not welcome you or listen to you,
leave there and shake the dust off your feet
in testimony against them.”
So they went off and preached repentance.
The Twelve drove out many demons,
and they anointed with oil many who were sick and cured them.

THURSDAY OF THE FOURTH WEEK IN ORDINARY TIME - Gospel (Mark 6:7-13)
THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONE
Dear People of God,
The Word of God today, God the Father wants to tell all those who want to follow Jesus Christ, to eliminate all greed, anger, and ignorance of this world so that we can fully walk freely on the path of Jesus Christ.
God the Father wants to remind His prophets that when working for God the Father, they should put on the person of Jesus Christ, whose characteristics are poverty, simplicity, purity, and obedience to spread the love and mercy of God the Father towards their brothers and sisters.
The grace, love, and power of God will reign over a person who puts on the person of Jesus Christ in His holiness.
As Jesus Christ reminded His disciples in the past, when preaching the word of God, bring with them the graces and powers that God the Father has given them and bring only what is necessary to serve the work of God the Father.
He knows everything about every action in each person's life.
God the Father wants to remind mankind that Satan is very powerful and very sophisticated when tempting God the Father's prophets to go against His will so that humans follow Satan's temptation.
God the Father also reminds His children to fear and obey God the Father's will at all times and in all places. Do exactly what God the Father teaches.
In God's Word today, Jesus Christ instructed both the apostles of old and the people of today, that when we preach the Gospel, we should bring the words of God, the light, love, and mercy of God the Father to our brothers and sisters.
Let us bless and bring peace wherever we go, and share the graces that God has given us, which are expressed through our brothers and sisters.
God the Father wants humanity to know how to support and help one another, to love and protect one another, and to give to our brothers and sisters all that we have received from him.
God the Father calls on His prophets to give all that God has given them, since they have received freely, so they must also give freely. Give back to God through our brothers and sisters all that belongs to God the Father.
God the Father wants a person who walks in the grace, love, and mercy of God the Father must belong completely to Him, both in body and soul, entirely to Him in all places and at all times so that His power can work within that person.
As He has done in the past, Jesus Christ has given the power of grace to heal people of their illnesses and infirmities as well as to drive out Satan.
It is also today that God the Father calls on all His children to run to Him so that He can give them more strength to drive out Satan so that the Holy Spirit can work within them.
On the condition that all prophets and followers of Jesus Christ must completely submit to His will at all times and in all places. They must completely fear Him, then Satan will be defeated.
Thanks be to God. Amen.
