Fr. Martino: I greet Your Excellencies, fathers, religious men and women, and all the audience watching the Voice of Truth program.
Together with Mary, the angels, the saints, and the souls undergoing purification, you, dear brothers and sisters in the Army of Light, are walking in the Work of the Holy Spirit for this new era. We glorify, bless, and thank the Triune God, for He has graciously initiated this work so that the spring of God's salvation may flow. Through the Holy Spirit of God, humanity will gradually come to understand the things that Jesus had not yet fully said, as He spoke to His disciples: "I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now. But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth” (Jn 16:12-13)
This full truth is the Work of the Holy Spirit, which continues the redemptive work of Jesus, beginning with the chosen prophets, the angels who accompany humanity, the angel chosen to write the Word of God the Father, and the submissive demons who are given the opportunity to work for God, with the goal of bringing souls back to Him.
Saint John—a great prophet who concluded the Old Testament and opened the New—stands as a bridge between the two eras, with the noble mission of being ‘The Forerunner, going before to prepare the way for the Savior.’ In the Holy Spirit of God, his cry rang out from the desert, the place where he received God's purification to prepare for his prophetic mission of preparing the way: “Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths. Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The winding roads shall be made straight, and the rough ways made smooth, and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.” (Lk 3:4-6)
This cry still echoes today, through the prophets chosen by God the Father, through the souls whom the Father permits to return, and through the demons who work under God's holy command. Why is this so? Because only God knows how Satan's plan is ravaging humanity through a New World Order according to Satan. And no creature, including the angels, can know in advance the plan of salvation—the plan to re-establish a New World Order according to the Spirit of the Holy Spirit. We simply know as much as God reveals to us.
There is one thing God has long allowed humanity to know: that when a soul stands before the Judgment Seat of God, it will perceive its state while alive and how it must make reparation upon descending into Purgatory! In obedience to God and according to the desire of the soul of a deceased priest whom God has allowed to return within this Work, in today’s sharing, we would like to cite the heartfelt testimony of this priestly soul and the words of the demons who tempted him throughout his life on earth.
This testimony reveals all the weaknesses of the human condition when one fails to open the heart to respond to God’s call through the Forerunner, even though he himself had passed through many Advent seasons and heard the cry of Saint John calling for repentance countless times. Most notably, this priest himself had often preached on this cry during Advent to his parishioners. He was even enraptured by the canticle of Saint John: ‘He must increase, but I must decrease.’ He knew well that ‘He must increase, but I must decrease,’ yet the weakness of the human condition prevented him from overcoming the snares set by Satan. It was only upon closing his eyes to depart this life, when his soul faced God’s judgment, that he recognized his sins—especially the sins of pride, vanity, and self-conceit: not allowing the Lord to increase, not wanting to become smaller, and not directing all things to the glory of God, , leading him to fall into all kinds of passions...
Now, I invite Fr. Paul to share with us what God has allowed the soul of this priest to say.
Fr. Paulo: I greet Your Excellencies, fathers, religious men and women, and all the audience watching the Voice of Truth program. I greet you, Fr. Martino.
I thank God for allowing me to know the Work of God the Father, for teaching and purifying me so that I may live more worthily each day in the pastoral role He has bestowed upon and entrusted to me. If I did not know of this Work, my soul would surely have to make great reparation later for the shortcomings in the pastoral ministry God gave me—that is, the care of the souls entrusted to me by the Lord.
I also thank God for allowing the soul of this priest to return here to remind me once again to be more determined to become an instrument for God’s use for the benefit of souls, so that I may yield a return on the talents of grace the Lord has given me in this new era. This is also a fervent call that God wishes to send to His priests and religious.
The following are the words the soul of the priest was permitted to say:
‘I am the soul of Peter; I died in the coldness of my soul, in loneliness and sorrow. When I was alive, I had many people walking beside me, but when I died, my soul faced the demon alone.
God has allowed me to return here to ask for everyone's prayers because my soul must undergo expiation for many years. Although I longed to live according to God's teachings, I could not because I was too weak; alone, I could not fight the passions, the temptations, and the sins that Satan brought! I was unable to choose to live according to the Word of God amidst the many temptations Satan laid before me. Many times, I yielded to the demon of lust, the temptation of alcohol, relying on stimulants to compose pieces of music that appeared grand and seemingly soulful, earning everyone's praise. But I did not realize that my hymns were not pleasing to God because of my passions, my mistakes, and my sins. Furthermore, when God allowed my songs to be loved by everyone, instead of being oriented toward God to thank Him, I took pride and became conceited over the praise people gave me. Thus, I have already received my reward here on earth; before God, I am void of merit, with only a tiny bit remaining—but that bit cannot be compared to the many sins, weaknesses, and temptations I fell into, offending God.
And now, standing before the Judgment Seat, once the soul departed the body, I realized with profound regret. My sins are many regarding passions: the passion of lust, the passion for power and position, the passion for honor and the praise of worldly people. At times, I was arrogant, thinking I was talented and exceptionally intelligent, known both domestically and abroad. I took pride in having composed many songs. I did not know how to thank God for the grace He specifically gave me for the benefit of souls, to praise God, and to direct all to Him. Because of pride and passion, I offended God the Father and made Satan well-pleased. Now I must make heavy reparation for those sins.
There were many souls whom God the Father sent to me for support, sharing, and to be guided back to Him. But I spent too much time on my passions for composing and singing, neglecting the noble mission of caring for the lost sheep God the Father sent to me, even neglecting the worship of God in a spirit of fearing and loving Him alone.
As for the souls who asked me to offer Mass and pray for them, I also forgot them far too often; I merely thought that offering Mass and praying for the souls was enough! I thought that composing for people to sing praises to God was enough. I lost the grace that God the Father initially gave me: as a priest of God, tasked with caring for the flock and leading lost sheep away from the path of sin back to God the Father. I indulged in excessive passions. Now, my soul is held firmly in the hands of Satan.
I ask everyone to pray for my soul so that I may complete my reparation properly. I suffer so much; I am in such pain; Satan weighs heavily upon my soul. There is only a tiny spark of light left because my sins are so thick; for so many years, I have offended God.
God Himself enlightened me to change, but I did not keep the Word of God; I did not fear God enough. Time and again, I yielded to Satan's temptations and committed sins that offended God. I wrote songs under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit so that others might praise and glorify God, be converted, and live according to God’s Word, yet I myself neglected to live by God's Word; I myself could not be converted. I only sang God's praises with a passion for composing, with the delight and satisfaction when a ‘spiritual child’—a song—was born; outside of those times, I committed sins because I was too proud to avoid the occasion of sin, unable to live what God desired of me.
I ask Mary to go before the throne of God to plead for His forgiveness and a mitigation of my punishment. I ask everyone to accompany me and pray for my soul.
Now I depart for my reparation with empty hands and only my body in its vestments; other than that, I have nothing, leaving everything behind for God the Father and for the world.
Many souls followed me but were not saved; these souls are now weeping in pain. Because during my life, I did not use the Mass offerings for the souls properly; I did not use them according to the will of God the Father, but rather used that money for my own glory and honor. Therefore, I did not fulfill the duty of offering Mass for the souls. I ask God to forgive my sins; I ask the souls to forgive me.’
That was the first time after the soul had just left the world, and the second time was on the birthday of Saint John the Baptist. The soul returned to request: ‘One last time, I ask the Angel Thien Thuong to seek the will of God the Father so that my soul may have the courage to tell the truth about who I was when I lived in this world.’ And according to God's holy command, ‘God the Father allowed the soul to continue speaking about its state while it was alive.’
‘My state of soul while living in this world was very poor. Everyone honored and praised me, considering me exceptionally talented! But before God the Father, I was not completely oriented toward Him; I still clung to my own glory, honor, and reputation. Now, before the Judgment Seat of God the Father, I must give a great account for my state—for not doing everything to direct it toward God the Father, but instead seeking a place in society and in the Church through the hymns I left behind!
I also had a deep-seated desire: that when my soul departed the body to return to God the Father, I would leave behind a legacy of great fame.
I am in a state of reparation in the fires of Purgatory; therefore, I cannot lift my face because my soul is in great pain; I must bow down to speak. I must make reparation for my great hatred while I was alive. Now, the fires of Purgatory burn fiercely, consuming my soul, refining and purifying me to wash away my sins.
I deserve to be cursed, condemned, and blamed by the world after my soul departed. Therefore, my soul longs for the Voice of Truth program to present what God wants me to say—to reveal the dark side of the truth of my life on this earth, when everyone praised and honored me, when everyone saw me as radiant, good, holy, and pious, praising me as exceptionally talented with a deep prayer life in intimate union with God. But people did not know that I was a sinner before God the Father; I sinned greatly against God the Father and my neighbor!
No one, not even my relatives, could see how wretched the dark side of the truth within me was! Only in the Work of God the Father does He show mercy to my soul, giving me the opportunity to return and speak my heart after my soul has departed. In a way, this demonstrates God's immense love for my brother priests, for all my beloved descendants, and for all the children of God the Father who are wandering astray under the temptation and control of Satan. Let this be my final call to everyone: return to God the Father; do not live in sinful passions and lust anymore!’
Dear audience, especially the priests of the Lord: these are the sentiments of a priestly soul called back to God after his days on earth. Without this Work, we could never believe that someone who dedicated his whole life to the Church could have such a sad end. God revealed to us that while alive, this priest deeply desired to live holily, and even his lyrics and music sprang from his soul—a spirit of repentance, contrition, and a longing for transformation—yet he could not fight against the demon.
This is also my experience as a priest following the Work of God in this era. The truth is that I myself, once chosen by God, purified, and having demons removed, only then became vigilant to fight them. I understand that fighting the demon does not depend on one’s own ability but is a grace from God.
The Work of the Holy Spirit has progressed for over 12 years with so many transformations in many souls, great and marvelous things that humanity has seen with its own eyes through the conversion and testimony of a multitude of sinners. This is a great grace for people of today: the grace of life transformation, the grace to recognize and abandon sin. Therefore, when God allowed the soul of this priest to return and speak of his sins, God gave him a final chance to testify for Him, to glorify God in this Work of Sanctification by the Holy Spirit in this new era, before entering the place God willed for his reparation.
My sharing ends here. I bid you farewell and look forward to seeing you again. Farewell, Fr. Martino.
Fr. Martino: Thank you, Fr. Paul.
Ladies and gentlemen, after the soul of this priest spoke, God also allowed the demons who had successfully tempted him to manifest through those who receive demons, to identify themselves and reveal how they had successfully tempted him.
Before citing the words God allowed the demons to speak, I will list the names of the types of demons that tempted him and identified themselves. They are:
• The demon of stroke and cardiovascular accidents: This demon tempts humans to be proud, hot-tempered, irritable, and frustrated; when one yields, these demons have the opportunity to cause stroke and cardiovascular conditions.
• The demon that causes kidney stones: In this Work, we have learned that kidney stones are mostly a consequence of the passion of lust.
• The demon of pride, judgment, and division.
• The demon of anger, sorrow, loneliness, and hatred.
• The demon of the passion of lust, alcohol, excessive singing, and excessive composing.
• The demon of the passion of lust in the eyes, in thoughts, words, and actions.
• The demon that controls one to prevent a clear perception of sin, blurring the distinction between what is essential and what is secondary.
There were many other types of demons that identified themselves, but we only cite a few.
Now, here are the words of the demon of the passion of composing and singing regarding the state of this priest's soul. I invite you to listen:
‘I am the demon of the passion of composing and singing; through this passion, I incited this priest to neglect the pastoral mission given by God the Father, to neglect the duty of caring for the flock—especially the thin sheep, the sick, the weak, and the abandoned who are being mauled and preyed upon by us Satans—and instead dive into the passion for public singing.
The talent for music and singing is a gift from God the Father, but the mission of the Good Shepherd from God the Father is more exalted than anything. Other things should only follow. Loving-kindness, mercy for the sheep, caring for them, and leading lost sheep back to God the Father is what is primary. Composing and singing are only secondary tasks to support pastoral work. But this priest elevated the secondary to the primary.
What displeased God the Father was when this priest allowed his heart to become attached to worldly glory and honor. He was praised and acclaimed by the world, and those praises were indeed true. Truly, he was a talented priest-composer who left behind songs that touched hearts, with every word and phrase rising from the heart to God the Father. But his life did not go hand in hand with his sentiments and desires. When a life lacks purity, clarity, and holiness, those songs and prayers are not accepted by God the Father. Just as God has often reminded pastors (25:00) when they stand in the pulpit to preach His Word: even if the sermon is very good, if the preacher does not live it, that sermon is useless.
A song considered immortal or one that helps people pray and lift their souls to God is a song by one who knows how to obey God at all times and in all places, like Mary; this is what pleases God most. Therefore, the essential thing is practicing those lyrics in life, not just singing them on the lips, praising God without living it. God the Father needs the heart; He needs sacrifice; He needs our response to Him by renouncing our own selves to live, to love, to serve, to bend down and wash the feet of our brothers and sisters, to bandage wounds, to heal the sheep, sacrificing oneself day and night to lead sinners and lost sheep back to God the Father.
So I ask: did this priest achieve that during his time as a priest on this earth? God allowed Satan to speak: yes, but not enough. Why? Because the passion for singing, the passion for composing music, and the hours spent absorbed in hymn performances... took away much of God the Father's time.
God the Father chose this priest to give him the Holy Spirit, providing the inspiration to compose hymns for all people to sing in praise of God, but he did not fulfill the responsibility and mission entrusted by the Most High God the Father as a shepherd. He was distracted and negligent in that regard!
So now, God the Father also wishes to remind those pastors of God the Father still living on this earth: be vigilant, do not fall into excessive passion! Do not fall into the desire for praise, for a position in society, or in the Church. Become a shepherd of the Most High God the Father with a heart of love and sacrifice, bending down to serve by renouncing the ego, renouncing glory and honor, and renouncing worldly passions—including lust, alcohol, and indulgence. Live truly as a good shepherd of God the Father, caring for your sheep. Do not indulge in excessive passions and lose your role as a good shepherd, allowing those lost sheep to continue falling into sin and into the hands of Satan.
Reject the passions, the glories, the pleasures, and the honors belonging to this world; do not go deeper into them! Do what God the Father has given you, but let it be only a minor addition to your primary task as a good shepherd. Do not dedicate your entire being to secondary work, thus forgetting the mission given by God the Father to be a good shepherd tending the sheep, leading them away from the path of sin to return to God the Father.
God the Father wants the priests of God still living on earth to examine their consciences to see if they have lived according to the commands God the Father gave, or if they are still chasing pleasures, still craving glory, honor, and praise.
When standing before the Judgment Seat of God the Father, this priest had good and kind parts, but when placed on the scales, we Satans were heavier, and it tipped much more toward Satan's side; therefore, he must make much reparation. This soul is very lonely and cold! When alive, many admirers surrounded him, but in death, he is all alone! And he must stand before the Judgment Seat, facing judgment regarding the primary mission of a priest. Although he offered Mass, although he recited prayers, although he loved the life of prayer through song, he lacked the essential: going out and bending down to serve the sheep.
Singing hymns is praising God in union with the choir of angels, not singing for one another; therefore, one must sing with simple devotion and have a holy, pious, pure, and clear life, singing with a loving heart in gentleness and humility. Otherwise, it is merely a performance, singing well to please humans; Satan is glad, and God turns His face away. One thing Satan must tell the children of men is that if you sing in pride, vanity, and self-conceit—for example, singing in competitions for points or to compete, to judge and condemn one another, or to show off your talent—then Satan will enter to puff you up to sing better and finer, but that is a pretension, a lie that deceives the world. But God searches all things.
God the Father wants His children, especially the pastors, those anointed as priests in the order of Melchizedek, to know that all grace bestowed upon the children of men is so that they may bless and thank Him, directing everything to Him to glorify His name on earth. If there is even a slight deviation from this path, we Satans will creep in, for Satan sifts you like wheat. Satan spares no soul, especially the souls of pastors, who are juicy targets in our sights. Because God the Father entrusted pastors with the mission of bringing back to Him straying souls, lukewarm souls, and the weak and wounded sheep to bandage and heal them in soul and body; but if they do not fulfill this, many souls will be lost to our hands.
The soul of this priest is a wake-up call for all pastors who are yielding to the inspirations, the passions, and the things of the world—namely the flesh, fame, profit, and pleasure—realizing that these are merely fleeting. But bringing souls back to God is what is most noble and essential in the pastoral mission of His priests. Do not mistake the secondary for the primary, thinking that these secondary contributions to the Church will save your soul; that is our deception. Everyone must give an account before God the Father for their actions and the offenses committed against God and neighbor. There is no substituting one for the other!
Why is it that most artists who compose secular or religious music are entangled in alcohol or sex? In the Work of the Holy Spirit, under the power of God, He forces us Satans to answer humanity: it is we who tempted humans to think they need a bit of ‘spirit’ to embolden their actions. For example, they believe they need some alcohol for the soul to feel light and soaring so that the music can flow. Humans have been deceived by the demon, who exploits human weakness; the demon of alcohol makes humans slide down into intoxication. We Satans have made it seem that when praying, words never come, but when alcohol enters, the words flow; there must be a bit of intoxication to ponder the depth, length, and breadth of life, the worries and hardships, the ups and downs, and the bitterness of life, so that the lyrics and songs may emerge...
Thus, besides the compositions inspired by the Spirit, some of this musician's compositions contain justifications within them—justifying his wrongdoings. And because the alcohol induced a trance, the music has elements of adventure, sadness, despair, gloom, and pessimism... or is filled with pride and sensuality.
God allows us Satans to tell you humans: today, the demon of lustful fire is in total control, covering the entire brains of most of God's bishops, priests, and religious men and women. Our greatest success is controlling you so that you do not recognize that we Satans are present, controlling your mind, brain, eyes, ears, mouth, tongue, and your very being. We deceive you, we seize your head, and we control you, showing you that those lustful acts and behaviors are merely physiological needs rather than sins—or at most, you see them as very minor sins. Then, you return to being normal, happy, and peaceful again.
We inhabit your human flesh, and then you act under our direction and control so that we Satans can perform the lustful acts and bestial behaviors, so that we Satans enjoy that lust, not you. Meanwhile, inside your human soul, there is great suffering. We Satans use your human bodies to satisfy our lustful desires.
Therefore, if cardinals, bishops, priests, and religious now indulge in lustful enjoyment through food, clothing, traveling, or viewing lustful images, handsome men, beautiful women, and romantic movies... it is we Satans who are controlling and directing the brain and eyes so that we Satans may enjoy it, rather than you humans fully enjoying those bestial lustful pleasures.’
That was the word of the demon of passion within that priest.
Ladies and gentlemen, from my experience in exorcising demons for patients, I have observed that Satan is very cunning and crafty. They lead people to commit mortal sins without realizing they are mortal, thinking that satisfying lust through a gaze is no big deal since they haven't acted on it, thus not forming a sin. But the Word of God Himself has said: "The lamp of the body is the eye. If your eye is sound, your whole body will be filled with light; but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be in darkness. And if the light in you is darkness, how great will the darkness be” (Mt 6:22-23). Elsewhere He says: “But I say to you, everyone who looks at a woman with lust has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” (Mt 5:28). This means a mortal sin has been committed. One must go to confession before receiving Communion; otherwise, receiving Communion becomes a judgment. One must resolve to avoid this occasion of sin by all means. For the Lord has shown us that this is a kind of lustful virus that eats deep into the human brain, corrupting the entire person from the central nervous system that controls the senses; it is not easy to cast them out.
They will plant in a person a feeling of loneliness and boredom when they are not looking or being stimulated. They cover the whole body, controlling the brain and heart to suggest: ‘How can God be present? God is only on the lips; the heart cannot be united with God.’ They do not see God as joy. Because these lustful viruses have erased all sense of sin and brought with them many other types of lust demons—especially the Dracula demon, which makes the human heart indifferent. They love neither God nor neighbor. The evidence is: if one loves God, one must love the life of the cross. If one loves God, one must love a life of sacrifice and renunciation, carrying God's anxieties and concerns for souls, carrying God's thirst on the Cross. Or loving like Saint Paul: “And apart from these things, there is the daily pressure upon me of my anxiety for all the churches. Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is led to sin, and I am not indignant?” (2 Cr 11:28-29).
Today, God wants His priests and religious to answer Him regarding the things they have vowed to Him.
Before taking vows, if one offends God the Father while being controlled and tempted by Satan and yields to those emotions, He may mercifully forgive, provided there is a sincere change in lifestyle, thinking, and actions. One must no longer yield to Satan's temptations but resolve to fear and obey God the Father in everything, from the greatest to the smallest matter. But if, after standing before the throne of God the Father to make vows, having heard much instruction from the Word of God the Father, one continues to sin, what will happen to the soul?
“That servant who knew his master's will but did not make preparations nor act in accord with his will shall be beaten severely; and the servant who was ignorant of his master's will but acted in a way deserving of a severe beating shall be beaten only lightly. Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more.”
The Lord has revealed that Satan will restrain the soul, and the soul will be scourged by the demon, for the demon is permitted to stifle the soul even while alive. Right here on earth, the soul must make reparation, paying until the last penny. As Jesus Himself said: That servant who knew his master's will but did not make preparations nor act in accord with his will shall be beaten severely; and the servant who was ignorant of his master's will but acted in a way deserving of a severe beating shall be beaten only lightly. Much will be required of the person entrusted with much, and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more. (Lc12:47-48)
Therefore, in this Work, God the Father wants us to always examine our consciences and pray for the grace to recognize our sins. We must realize that when we vow to God the Father: absolute obedience to God the Father, absolute poverty, absolute chastity, absolutely loving God the Father above all things and loving our neighbor as ourselves, we must keep our hearts empty—free of calculation, comparison, jealousy, greed, anger, delusion, and lustful passion. We must be absolutely pure and clear to do God the Father's work.
I am so happy to know this Work of God. Through this Work, after being purified and pruned by God, I have come to understand deeply Saint Paul's words: “More than that, I even consider everything as a loss because of the supreme good of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have accepted the loss of all things and I consider them so much rubbish, that I may gain Christ” (Pl 3:8) (43:38)
From my own experience, when working for the Lord and receiving much grace from Him, Satan's attacks against me also become very intense. They enter to fight me on all fronts: in community life, in the mission, and especially in my personal spiritual life with God. Everywhere, at all times, I must face the demon's plots, their craftiness, their hiding places, their invisibility, or their control. Therefore, to fight them, I must live what God the Father teaches through the virtues and self-emptying after the example of Jesus. And when many demons enter to attack me, I also need the help of brothers and sisters to remove them for me. For a demon to leave, I must then be radically determined; only then will God allow the demon to leave my body. God the Father allows this to happen as a way of teaching me, helping me always to recognize that I am a weak, lowly, and sinful human being who cannot overcome Satan without God's grace. God the Father wants this so that I may always be vigilant and in close union with Him, always listening to His instructions and putting them into practice—relying on God at all times, being humble and self-abased, loving and united with my brothers and sisters, and trusting that God uses them to work for Him. Thus, I know I do not fight Satan alone, nor can I come to God the Father alone, but always with my brothers and sisters, the angels, and the saints accompanying me.
In this Work, I have been greatly purified by God to prune away my pride, so that I have no value before God or before people. To face Satan, who is the essence of pride, I must be truly humble and self-abased to overcome him. When fighting demons, I must no longer be proud or consider myself to be in the position of a priest, but only a sinner. So, when God allows a demon to return through a sister working with me to fight me, I am not offended when rebuked, criticized, or having my sins exposed by the demon; nor do I worry about my health or myself when fighting through the night. Many times I have lost to the demon. But thanks be to God, for each time, the Real Word of God provides specific guidance. I am so happy that every time the Real Word of God is written by the hand of the Angel Thien Thuong, I am strengthened—especially when I resolve to act according to God's teaching, I overcome the demon.
One thing that happens not only to me but to all who come to this Work is that God allows the demons to show us our many sins. Previously, the demon covered our ears and blinded our eyes so that I only saw the good I did; I did not see my sins, especially failing to examine the deep corners of my thoughts. What one only recognizes as sin upon death is what many souls of bishops, priests, and religious whom God allowed to return have told us.
For instance, the soul of this priest only saw all the sins he committed after death; only then did he clearly see the supernatural world and realize that this place, this land, is where God has chosen for the Work of Sanctification of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, he wanted to return here one last time to testify for God and for this great Work, because he said that all his life he had only glorified himself.
Ladies and gentlemen, these are the things God wants the two of us, as brother priests, to share so that everyone—especially God’s priests and religious—may be more vigilant to live truly according to the vocation He has chosen and established.
We hope that the pastors, who are the prophets to whom God has entrusted His word and who have been granted to be living images of Jesus Christ—the Good Shepherd among His flock—will all be called to follow the example of Saint John the Forerunner in living out their preaching. This means personally repenting and living what God teaches, so that the calls of the good pastors of Jesus Christ may be transmitted to the hearts of each of the faithful, serving as a light illuminating the words and actions of the laity, like Saint John the Forerunner. He lived what he preached and dared to die to testify to what he lived, which has been woven into that immortal canticle: ‘He must increase, but I must decrease.’
And it is our hope that the lives of priests will also become small in humility and self-abasement, so that God's name may shine forth through their own persons and their own preaching.
To conclude this sharing, I would like to convey to you this priest's message to his brother priests:
‘My dear brother priests, take care of the sheep and fulfill the role of the good shepherd of God the Father. Do not seek vain glory, do not seek fame, profit, or pleasure; do not seek the passion of lust or alcohol; do not seek material things or worry about indulgence. Instead, worry about your soul and seek the Kingdom of Heaven. Live according to God's instructions. Having made vows to the Lord, keep those vows: obedience, poverty, and chastity, following the example of Jesus Christ. Do not yield to Satan's temptations, but resolve to renounce all things pertaining to fame, profit, and pleasure, and spend time with God so that He may strengthen you!’
Thank you for listening to our sharing. Farewell, and see you again.
