FIRST READING - Wis 1:1-7
"For wisdom is a kindly spirit, the spirit of the Lord fills the world."
A reading from the Book of Wisdom
1 Love righteousness,[b] you who judge the earth;
think of the Lord in goodness,
and seek him in integrity of heart;
2Because he is found by those who do not test him,
and manifests himself to those who do not disbelieve him.
3For perverse counsels separate people from God,
and his power, put to the proof, rebukes the foolhardy;
4 [c]Because into a soul that plots evil wisdom does not enter,
nor does she dwell in a body under debt of sin.
5For the holy spirit of discipline[d] flees deceit
and withdraws from senseless counsels
and is rebuked when unrighteousness occurs.
6 For wisdom is a kindly spirit,
yet she does not acquit blasphemous lips;
Because God is the witness of the inmost self
and the sure observer of the heart
and the listener to the tongue.
7For the spirit of the Lord fills the world,
is all-embracing, and knows whatever is said.
GOSPEL OF THE DAY - Lk 17:1-6
"And if he wrongs you seven times in one day and returns to you seven times saying, ‘I am sorry,’ you should forgive him"
✠From the Gospel according to Luke
1 He said to his disciples, “Things that cause sin will inevitably occur, but woe to the person through whom they occur. 2 It would be better for him if a millstone were put around his neck and he be thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin. 3 Be on your guard![a] If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 And if he wrongs you seven times in one day and returns to you seven times saying, ‘I am sorry,’ you should forgive him.”
5 And the apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith.” 6 The Lord replied, “If you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you would say to [this] mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.

32ND MONDAY IN ORDINARY TIME - Gospel (Luke 17:1-6)
THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONE
Dear people of God,
Today’s Word of God teaches everyone to always live in meekness, moderation, and wisdom. We should always be a shining example through our own way of life, and not cause others to stumble.
There are certain things that God allows to happen in life to purify, teach, and guide us toward the perfection that He desires. These are the good things that God gives to everyone.
However, at the same time, Satan will take advantage of the purification that God sends to humanity to destroy God’s plan, to attack those who are walking in His plan, and to steal humans’ souls.
Therefore, God desires that everyone remain vigilant at all times and in all places, being watchful in words, actions, and deeds so as not to cause others to stumble into sin; for a stumbling block caused by a person’s own actions can negatively affect the lives of other souls.”
Therefore, God teaches humanity in today’s world not to cause others to stumble; always live wisely and be vigilant against the temptations of Satan; do not ever yield to lusts, sins, or sinful passions, for these are evil actions that cause a stumbling block for others.
As for the things God desires to purify in everyone, He will also allow obstacles and difficulties to arise to test everyone’s faithfulness to Him.”
God further instructs everyone always to know how to forgive and to live in love, for this is the law that He has given to humanity.
Whatever comes from God is always good. If we obey and follow God’s commands, we will inherit eternal happiness in the Kingdom of Heaven in the life to come.
When we fully submit to God’s holy will, we will be able to overcome all the difficulties and trials in this world, which are hatred and jealousy; for as long as we hold on to hatred, envy, and jealousy, we will not be able to forgive our brothers and sisters.”
Therefore, today’s Word of God calls on everyone to remain steadfast in absolute trust in God’s love, and knowing how to forgive our fellow brothers and sisters, for when we forgive our fellow human beings, that is also when God loves and forgives us.
Thanks be to God. Amen.
