“Stop judging and you will not be judged.” (Lk 6:37)

FIRST READING - Dan 9:4b-10

"We have sinned, been wicked and done evil."

A reading from the Book of Daniel

I prayed to the Lord, my God, and confessed, “Ah, Lord, great and awesome God, you who keep your covenant and show mercy toward those who love you and keep your commandments and your precepts! We have sinned, been wicked and done evil; we have rebelled and turned from your commandments and your laws. We have not obeyed your servants the prophets, who spoke in your name to our kings, our princes, our ancestors, and all the people of the land. Justice, O Lord, is on your side; we are shamefaced even to this day: the men of Judah, the residents of Jerusalem, and all Israel, near and far, in all the lands to which you have scattered them because of their treachery toward you. O Lord, we are ashamed, like our kings, our princes, and our ancestors, for having sinned against you. But to the Lord, our God, belong compassion and forgiveness, though we rebelled against him 10 and did not hear the voice of the Lord, our God, by walking in his laws given through his servants the prophets.

GOSPEL OF THE DAY - Lk 6:36-38

"Stop judging and you will not be judged."

From the Gospel according to Luke

36 Be merciful, just as [also] your Father is merciful.

[a] 37 “Stop judging and you will not be judged. Stop condemning and you will not be condemned. Forgive and you will be forgiven. 38 Give and gifts will be given to you; a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing, will be poured into your lap. For the measure with which you measure will in return be measured out to you.”

2nd MONDAY OF LENT - Gospel (Luke 6:36-38)

THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONE

Dear people of God,

Today's Word of God, God the Father calls upon all humanity to turn towards one God who is the Father in heaven, the One and only Father of all creation that God the Father created.

All must ultimately turn towards God, who is benevolent, loving, rich in mercy, forgiving, and kind. Only in Him does eternal life come to humanity in the Kingdom of Heaven hereafter. Only in Him can humanity and all creation on this earth be sustained.

Apart from Him, no other deity can compare to Him. He is the one and only, only He is eternal, only He exists for all eternity. No one can compare to Him, no one is equal to Him; all creation on this earth belongs to Him.

Among all creatures, not one creature can go beyond the power of God.

For all goodness exists in Him, is found in Him, and all things are to be directed towards Him.

That is wisdom for humanity and for all creation that God created.

We should follow the goodness in God that teaches humanity and not follow the temptations of Satan, sin, hatred, envy, jealousy, and prideful rivalry, for all these sins lead humanity to eternal death alongside Satan.

Be wise and return to Him, reconciling with Him at all times, in all places, and through every moment of our time on this earth. Everyone should listen to the teaching of His Word, obey His commands, fulfill His sacred decrees, and carry out His will.

Today's Word of God commands all people to forgive and love, be compassionate, merciful, faithful, loyal, and fear God the Father above all else. Every creature in this world and this universe must turn toward Him, listen to Him, and obey Him at all times and in all places; this is the wisdom God commands for humanity.

Not a single creature exists outside the almighty hand of God the Father! All must prostrate ourselves, turn toward Him, glorify Him, and worship Him. For only in Him can all goodness, happiness, life, and peace be gathered for humanity.

Today's Word of God teaches humanity: do not condemn, do not judge, do not hate, do not envy, do not dispute, do not strive for superiority; rather, do exactly as He commanded. God teaches humanity only what is good and holy for life; therefore, listen to and obey Him, for nothing can deviate from God the Father’s Holy Will All of human freedom should be used to follow God the Father’s Holy Will.

Seize and hold fast to the fullness of happiness in the Kingdom of Heaven with God the Father; do not abandon or let it slip away the life of the Kingdom of Heaven and the Eternal Word, which God the Father commands humanity to live by and follow.

Life in the Kingdom of Heaven is always contrary to death in hell alongside Satan. Hell brings eternal death to those who do not follow God's holy commands, which are hatred, division, jealousy, envy, superiority, power, honor, glory, lust, and worldly pleasures. All of these things will bring eternal death to humanity.

If we use our freedom to succumb to Satan's temptations, then eternal hell will drag us to death in hatred, in not forgiving, in not loving, in not loving God above all things, in disobedience to God the Father’s Holy Will, in not following His holy commands; and will lead mankind to eternal death.

Be vigilant! Awake and return to God the Father, following the holy commands that He teaches today, which are: love God above all things, fear Him, obey Him, and fulfill His holy commands to be merciful, kind, tolerant, forgiving, loving, meek, humble, and self-abasing.

Do not condemn, do not judge, do not harbor anger, do not cause division, and do not fall into envy, jealousy, or the desire for superiority.

Give generously and serve our brothers and sisters selflessly. God will reward us abundantly in the Kingdom of Heaven, where we will share eternal happiness with God the Father, Blessed Mother Mary, the Angels, and the Saints in the everlasting Heavenly Kingdom hereafter.

God the Father also calls upon people in today's world to be vigilant against Satan's call to exclude God the Father from life, to eliminate Him from our lives, and instead pursue worldly passions, wealth, material possessions, and worldly glory and honor, so that Satan gives us false happiness right here on earth with the pleasures of lust, passion, hatred, envy, jealousy, division, condemnation, and judgment.

These things will not bring eternal happiness to humanity in the Kingdom of Heaven!

Therefore, today's Word of God teaches humanity very practical lessons for daily life.

Do not condemn, do not judge, do not reproach, do not harbor anger, do not yell, do not revile, do not exclude, and do not be jealous, envious, hateful, resentful, or desire superiority.

Give everything, and we will receive all things! Serve freely, without competition or calculation toward God the Father and our brothers and sisters, then God the Father will reward us with the happiness of the Kingdom of Heaven both in this life and the life to come.

Thanks be to God. Amen.
