15 This saying is trustworthy[a] and deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Of these I am the foremost. 16 But for that reason I was mercifully treated, so that in me, as the foremost, Christ Jesus might display all his patience as an example for those who would come to believe in him for everlasting life. 17 To the king of ages,[b] incorruptible, invisible, the only God, honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.
GOSPEL OF THE DAY - Lk 6:43-49
"Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ but not do what I command?"

43 [a]“A good tree does not bear rotten fruit, nor does a rotten tree bear good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by its own fruit. For people do not pick figs from thornbushes, nor do they gather grapes from brambles. 45 A good person out of the store of goodness in his heart produces good, but an evil person out of a store of evil produces evil; for from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks.
46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ but not do what I command? 47 [b]I will show you what someone is like who comes to me, listens to my words, and acts on them. 48 That one is like a person building a house, who dug deeply and laid the foundation on rock; when the flood came, the river burst against that house but could not shake it because it had been well built. 49 But the one who listens and does not act is like a person who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the river burst against it, it collapsed at once and was completely destroyed.”

THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONEI
Dear people of God,
In today's Word of God, God invites people to live true to their hearts. Do not live falsely before God. Because He knows all the thoughts and actions of people, nothing can be hidden from God's eyes.
God always wants people to live truthfully, live well, and be holy both in soul and body. Because He is the Truth, the Truth and the Source of Life. In God there is no deceit, no hypocrisy. Therefore, all those who want to run to call on God must live truthfully with Him; do not just talk with your lips but practice and do not live with appearances that do not come from within your soul. Never deceive God.
Today's Word of God teaches people that: "a bad tree will never bear good fruit, but a good tree will always bear good fruit", and "from the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks". Therefore, He lets people know that: God knows every thought from the heart of each person, so no one should live a double life, do not live a lie; because false deeds will be exposed before God.
Today's Word of God also teaches people that: to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, one must practice God's teachings correctly, not just say them with the lips, on the mouth; not just say: "Lord! Lord!" but do not know how to love one's fellow human beings. God always loves those who obey and live according to God's commandments, which is the commandment of love; He does not want people to say empty words with their lips, but do not practice God's words.
Therefore, today's Word of God invites people to return to God. Let us practice according to God's commandment, which is to live the law of love. Through practicing this love, people can speak words of love. And through living and speaking words of true love, we will produce many good fruits, which will support and help many suffering souls return to God.
God does not require people to do great things, He only wants people to live sincerely with God and others, to love God above all things and to love others as themselves. That is the law of love that God has engraved in the heart of every person, and He calls on people today: to live the law of love that God has given, with all their heart, mind and whole being.
