FIRST READING - 3:1-6, 9-12
A reading from the Book of Exodus
Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian.
Leading the flock across the desert, he came to Horeb,
the mountain of God.
There an angel of the LORD appeared to him in fire
flaming out of a bush.
As he looked on, he was surprised to see that the bush,
though on fire, was not consumed.
So Moses decided,
"I must go over to look at this remarkable sight,
and see why the bush is not burned."
When the LORD saw him coming over to look at it more closely,
God called out to him from the bush, "Moses! Moses!"
He answered, "Here I am."
God said, "Come no nearer!
Remove the sandals from your feet,
for the place where you stand is holy ground.
I am the God of your father," he continued,
"the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob.
The cry of the children of Israel has reached me,
and I have truly noted that the Egyptians are oppressing them.
Come, now! I will send you to Pharaoh to lead my people,
the children of Israel, out of Egypt."
But Moses said to God,
"Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh
and lead the children of Israel out of Egypt?"
He answered, "I will be with you;
and this shall be your proof that it is I who have sent you:
when you bring my people out of Egypt,
you will worship God on this very mountain."
GOSPEL OF THE DAY - 11:25-27
From the Gospel according to Matthew
At that time Jesus exclaimed:
"I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth,
for although you have hidden these things
from the wise and the learned
you have revealed them to the childlike.
Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will.
All things have been handed over to me by my Father.
No one knows the Son except the Father,
and no one knows the Father except the Son
and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him."

15TH WEDNESDAY IN ORDINARY TIME - Gospel (Matthew 11:25-27)
THE WORD OF GOD FOR EVERYONE
Dear People of God,
The Word of God for today tells us of Jesus Christ’s prayer to God the Father: “I give praise to you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will.”
In this prayer, Jesus Christ expresses His care for the little ones to God the Father.
God says that all those who are humble, self-abasement, simple, and lowly in heart are always pleasing to God the Father. As God the Father pleases, He will reveal to them aspects of His intentions and mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven.
It is a blessing for the little ones who know the commandments of God the Father beforehand.
When Jesus Christ prayed, He always praised, exalted, and glorified God the Father. This is the image and example for all of us to follow to humble ourselves before God the Father. For only God is the One who knows all things, the One who can do all things. No one else has the same power and authority as Him.
Through the example of Christ’s humility, He invited His disciples:
That we must learn to be humble and lower ourselves before God the Father.
-See ourselves as weak, sinful, and imperfect children before Him.
Humble ourselves before Him as a fools, acknowledging we know nothing, and approach God with a heart full of trust, and call upon the name of God the Father.
Only then will God the Father allow the lowly and humble to understand the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven and reveal to us His ways and His steps.
He invites everyone to look at the following examples of humility and self-abasement:
Jesus Christ was always humble and obedient to God the Father in all things.
The Blessed Virgin Mary, was childlike, always lived humbly before God.
Saint John the Baptist humbly accepted his role as the one who prepared the way for Jesus.
Through these examples, He invites His apostles to become small before God the Father in all things.
For it is only those who are small and ordinary who truly recognize their need for the grace of God the Father.
As for those who are arrogant, proud, and self-satisfied, saying: “I know the laws, I understand all the ways and steps of God the Father”, such people will not receive the fullness of His grace.
For God is omnipotent, omniscient , and have full authority over all souls.
At this present time, God also reveals to everyone the image of His little children who are present in this world, His children in the Army of Light. These are the little ones who live pleasing to God the Father. He also invites the children in His Army of Light to become even more humble and small before God the Father and before their brothers and sisters.
The smaller and more humble they become, the more graces they will receive from God.
Today’s Word of God invites everyone to live and practice the teachings of God the Father, and to have a simple, childlike heart.
For God reveals His will only to the littlest people, in the love of God the Father and Mother Mary.
Thanks be to God. Amen.
